A perfect journey
awaits you in Cappadocia
Human settlement dates back to the Paleolithic era in Cappadocia and written history begins with Hittites. Houses carved into the rocks and underground cities have been sheltered homes to people for thousands of years and people lived in these homes in the periods of Hittites, Persians, Cappadocia Kingdom, Roman period, and Seljuk and Ottoman Empires. Two important roads, the Silk Road and the Persian Royal Road had passed across this land. Being a cradle for a variety of cultures, each civilization has left its own traces, the traditions have blended and become enriched, and what has come to existence is an enchanted land where you can testify at each step different layers of history from unmatched frescoes in the churches of early Christianity to the underground cities that carry the memories of thousands of years, outdoor museums, Seljuk caravanserais, and mosques.
Petra Inn was built considering 200 years old Çarhacı Mustafa Efendi Mansion as the core of the hotel. The hotel consists of 19 rooms, 4 of them are in the mansion, 10 of them are cave rooms where people used to live for thousands of years. Since we have a very precious historical and cultural heritage, the restoration process needed a long and meticulous work.
